Demi Lovato's still leaning on the strength and support of her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama

According to TMZ, the That '70s Show actor, who once carried a six-year romance with the former Disney star until 2016, remains a constant in her life since she's returned to Los Angeles. On Thursday (November 8), an insider told the celebrity gossip outlet the former couple "still communicate regularly," meet up and speak several times a week despite not having been pictured in the public eye together since Lovato left rehab earlier this month.

The insider also adds that the terms of Lovato's relationship with Valderrama is strictly platonic and nothing more than a supportive friendship.

As we previously reported, the 38-year-old performer paid regular visits to Lovato at an undisclosed rehab facility on the East Coast, where the "Sorry Not Sorry" songstress remained in recovery after her life-threatening overdose on July 24.

On October 26, Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, revealed in a radio interview that her daughter had become 90 days sober. Other sources have said the 26-year-old "has done a complete 180" since receiving treatment and has been applying what she's learned in rehab in her day-to-day life.

“Demi has struggled for so long with addiction and her friends and family couldn’t be more proud of her work,” an insider told  Entertainment Tonight this week, “This process has been incredibly beneficial to Demi in so many ways. She is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle.”

Currently, Lovato has been grounding herself with a regular routine, which involves visiting a sober house three days a week, going to the gym and running errands.
