Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid & More Defend Taylor Swift In Feud With Ex-Label

Celebrities have come forward to defend Taylor Swift against Scooter Braun and Big Machine Label co-founder Scott Borchetta regarding her claims that they've blocked her from performing her old hits at the AMAs and from using the tracks in an upcoming Netflix documentary.

As you know, Swift, 29, previously took to her social media platforms, to share her disappointment that her former record label had sold her master recordings for $300 million to Braun. Swift admitted that she was going to re-record her first six album when she was legally allowed to do so in November 2020. However, the story took a turn on Thursday (November 15) when Swift went public with claims that the business men were holding her music hostage and blocking her from performing her old material, particularly at the upcoming AMA ceremony.

Big Machine denied the story, declaring that they "do not have the right to keep her from performing live anywhere." Additionally, they declared that they "have worked diligently to have a conversation about these matters with Taylor and her team to productively move forward." Shortly after, Swift's rep, Tree Paine, hit back, saying, "The truth is, on October 28, 2019 at 5:17 p.m., the Vice President, Rights Management and Business Affairs from Big Machine Label Group sent Taylor Swift’s team the following: ‘Please be advised that BMLG will not agree to issue licences for existing recordings or waivers of its re-recording restrictions in connection with these two projects: The Netflix documentary and The Ablibaba "Double Eleven” event.'"

Updates are bound to continue from here but, in the meantime, Swift's friends, including Selena Gomez, Halsey, Gigi Hadid and more, have come forward to defend the star. Scroll on below to see what they had to say!
