PHOTOS: Halsey Attends First Red Carpet Since Revealing Secret Illness

Halsey made an appearance at her first red carpet event since revealing an ongoing struggle with Lupus earlier this month.

According to People, the "Eastside" songstress, who uses she/they pronouns, strutted the carpet in retro glam for the premiere of her new slasher film, MaXXXine. The event, held on Monday (June 24), stands out as the star's first red carpet since announcing her continuous, private health battle on June 5th in a video shared to social media. Despite experiencing immeasurable pain, the artist is choosing to remain positive about the future of her condition.

"I feel like an old lady. I told myself I'm giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30 I am having a rebirth and i'm not going to be sick and I'm going to look super hot and have lots of energy and i'm just going to get to redo my 20s in my 30s."

Halsey took to the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood draped in a breathtaking, gold ensemble complete with beautiful black, curly locks, a Gabriel & Co. ring, and a Baby Gold cuff bracelet. Photos depict the GRAMMY-winning standout looking fabulous as ever as she sports a smile, despite all she's had to endure within the last couple of years.

The 29-year-old hitmaker stars alongside actress Mia Goth (who plays Maxine) as "Tabby" in the highly-anticipated film. Fans can catch Halsey giving her latest creative endeavor her all in MaXXXine, set to hit theaters on July 3rd.
