Kendrick Lamar and SZA will grace the stage together during K.Dot's highly-anticipated performance at Super Bowl LIX.
On Thursday, January 23, the NFL and Roc Nation shared a brand-new trailer starring the Compton native ahead of his set at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. In the trailer, you can see Kenny on the phone while rehearsing for his major performance when SZA comes up behind him and pours a water cooler full of Gatorade all over him. The hilarious clip confirmed the "Gloria" singer will join her touring partner onstage at the big game in New Orleans.
The Grammy award-winning singer was bound to be involved with Kendrick's performance somehow. The duo have several hit songs together including "Luther," which appears on Lamar's latest album GNX, and "30 for 30" which became an instant fan favorite from SZA's SOS Deluxe: LANA. The show will also give fans a glimpse into their upcoming collaborative tour. Kendrick Lamar and SZA recently announced the dates for the "Grand National Tour." Their massive arena tour is set to begin in April and will travel to 19 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Tickets are available now.
SZA is one of several artists who may or may not appear during Kendrick Lamar's set at the Super Bowl. Rapper Lefty Gunplay, who appears on K.Dot's other smash hit "tv off," said he might get the call to perform his verse during the performance. Super Bowl LIX is happening Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. You can tune in on FOX as well as Tubi, FOX Deportes and YouTube TV.
