Officials Advise Lake Conway Residents Of Potential Flooding

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Lake Conway area near Mayflower, saying that the lake will exceed flood stage soon.

According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the water at Lake Conway will continue to rise by "one foot every 30 hours" due to Palarm Creek rising from Arkansas River flooding. The AGFC also said that Lake Conway will exceed the flood stage of 266ft by June 5th, and the peak level is unknown.

Property owners are asked to take immediate action if you live in the Lake Conway area, specifically if your property has flooded in the last 10 years, as those areas are at greatest risk.

If you have questions related to Lake Conway's water level, you can call the Fisheries Office in Mayflower at 501.470.3309.
